FIJI Water regularly contributes bottled water to the Red Cross and various disaster relief efforts around the country and the world. In the aftermath of hurricanes Ami, Kina, Damon, and Gene, FIJI Water was on the frontline and we will continue to stand prepared for future emergency events.
During the devastating floods in January 2009, the FIJI Water Foundation, along with our plant employees and truck fleet, mobilized an emergency response, delivering over 200,000 gallons of water to 20,000 people. In the storm aftermath, we reached out to more than 40 schools, supplying replacement school supplies and workbooks and helping to rebuild and repair flooded school buildings.
More recently, FIJI Water donated product and financial resources following the devastating earthquake in Haiti. Working directly with the U.S. military, FIJI Water was able to deliver nearly 120,000 Litres of bottled water to many people in need within just a couple of days of the disaster. Our company and employees have also contributed funds to organizations working on the ground in Haiti to support the initiation of immediate disaster relief activities.
